COVID PRACTICES

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit...

James 3:17

As of March 4, 2022, the Mendocino County Health Officer has lifted the "universal indoor masking" order. Masking is now optional in places of worship (Yet recommended for those who have vulnerabilities).

what we're doing

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have committed to:

Joyful Worship of God

Humble Submission to Local Authorities

Selfless Love for Neighbor

We continue to gather inside our Worship Auditorium on Sundays, "singing to God with gratitude in [our] hearts" (Col. 3:16). We continue to provide well-ventilated and air-purified spaces for our gatherings, as well as hand sanitizer and ample space for distancing, as recommended by our local authorities (1 Pet. 2:13-17). And we continue to apply the gospel to all our interactions with one another, especially in mindfulness of the vulnerable (Phil. 2:3-4).

In all of this, we continue to trust in the faithfulness of our God as we recognize his providential kingdom purposes. In his sovereignty, the Lord has allowed the pandemic for our good (Romans 8:28-30), that we might grow more into the likeness of Jesus (James 1:2-4). Our call has been to remain faithful to him as we continue to pursue Christlike goodness in all that we do (1 Pet. 2:12), with the hope of Christ in our hearts (1 Pet. 5:10-11).
